 Located in one of the world's most populous cities, Chennai 2 -acre main campus in South Tamil Nadu provides an ideal environment for students to imagine and achieve their fullest potential.
The large selection of sports teams and other activities support the athletic needs of all students. GAIS and GTCS share facilities include a 15-meter indoor pool, gymnasiums, , two playing fields and four tennis courts. Our spacious playground, Kindergarten and Elementary School, provide plenty of space for our younger students to let off steam.
Our library – Discovery Room, exists to promote the love of reading and learning, to provide a resource for acquiring knowledge, to teach library and research skills, and to provide students with reading, media, and resource material. The Library is open daily from 8:15 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. All students and faculty are encouraged to use the libraries regularly. There is a library curriculum of skills and topics that is interwoven with classroom curricula whenever possible. Weekly library instruction and literature appreciation classes are held for Pre-kindergarten through grade 12 students.
GAIS computer and technology lab has 20 computers and a wide selection of media. Internet connection is available on all GAIS computers. The GAIS Board of Directors recognizes that changing telecommunications and other new technologies in turn bring about changes in the way information is accessed and communicated. Electronic information research skills are now fundamental to preparation of citizens and future employees in the “age of information”. The GAIS Board of Directors generally supports access by students to rich information resources, and expects that staff will integrate thoughtful use of this information throughout the curriculum while providing guidance at an age-appropriate level to students in the use of such resources. Students are responsible for good behavior on school computer networks just as they are in a classroom or school hallway. Age-appropriate access to network services will be provided to students who show that they are able to use the resources in a considerate and responsible manner
GAIS fine arts program offers a wide range of activities in each division, with facilities for studio arts, photography, crafts, vocal music, instrumental music, music composition, theater arts and home arts. Music practice rooms are available for student use before, during and after school hours. Digital film-making classes and extracurricular clubs produce other creative programs in the school's own production facilities.
